Small Beach: From Naples Bay to Tachibana Bay

Obama Onsen town is characterized by its curved coastline facing Tachibana Bay. Located a little further up the mountain is "La Spiaggina•; an Italian restaurant with a distinctive chimney that was renovated from an old private house. The name of the restaurant means "small beach" in Italian. The owner-chef Mr. Okamura, who returned to his hometown Obama from Naples, named the restaurant after the shape of Naples Bay and Tachibana Bay, which look exactly alike. The Italian cuisine prepared by Chef Okamura, who emphasizes the natural flavors of vegetables as if you were eating in Naples, will spread the gentle and rich taste of local ingredients in your mouth. The cellar is stocked with more than 100 bottles of natural wines selected by the chef, who is also a sommelier, so you can enjoy a selection to match your meal.
